Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) Assembly

Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) bring real-time control, high-speed data handling, and on-the-fly updates to modern embedded systems—from telecom and industrial controls to medical instrumentation and advanced sensors.

Hi-Tek Electronics turns that potential into dependable hardware by offering FPGA assembly and integration services with the precision, speed, and consistency your project requires. We’re a U.S.-based, privately owned electronics contract manufacturer with nearly 40 years of experience in PCBA assembly, mechanical integration, box builds, and wire assembly—ready to help you scale from prototype to production.

What We Build

Every FPGA board starts with solid manufacturing. We prioritize surface-mount technology assembly (SMTA) before any through-hole steps to keep placement tight and thermal profiles controlled. Need specific solder chemistry? We support lead-free, RoHS-compliant or leaded processes—clean and no-clean can be combined on the same board when the design calls for it.

Beyond placement and reflow, we seamlessly integrate your FPGAs into complete systems: harnesses, enclosures, thermal solutions, and final box builds. Strong supplier relationships help us source hard-to-find parts so schedules stay intact.

Collaboration with your engineering team

We work the way your team works. If you’re engaging an internal or external team for FPGA design services, we can align our build to your design artifacts and hand-off plan:

  • PCB design collaboration for manufacturability and stable reflow windows.
  • Support for your design tools, bitstreams, and bring-up checklists.
  • Coordination with embedded software teams during prototype and pilot runs.
  • Loading of customer-provided images and verification steps you define.
  • Handling of custom IP and third-party IP cores with controlled documentation.

From quick-turn prototypes to steady production, we keep iteration tight so your schedule and budget stay on track.

Quality, compliance, and American manufacturing

We are building our quality system around recognized standards to serve regulated and general markets:

  • AS9100D (Aerospace)
  • ISO 13485 (Medical Devices)
  • ISO 9001 (General Industries)

This framework supports traceability, documentation, and reliable repeatability across builds. As a U.S. manufacturer, Hi-Tek aligns with Build America, Buy America—and pairs that with fair pricing, transparent communication, and a culture that empowers employees to take pride in their craft..

Prototype today, scale tomorrow

Hi-Tek specializes in high-mix, low-volume work—perfect for early units, EVT/DVT builds, and pilot lots—then scales cleanly into low-mix, high-run production when demand grows. You’ll get customized solutions without losing the throughput and consistency you need as volumes rise. It’s a straight path from “first articles” to stable shipments—no drama, just dependable hardware.mer-first culture makes Hi-Tek the partner of choice for companies scaling MCU projects.

Testing a PCBA board

What’s the difference between FPGA assembly and FPGA design services?

Design services create the logic (VHDL/Verilog, custom IP, IP cores) and bitstreams. Hi-Tek focuses on assembly and integration—manufacturing the PCBA, loading customer images, and delivering a ready-to-test or turnkey unit.

Can you support high-speed interfaces and dense packages (e.g., BGAs)?

Yes. We routinely assemble fine-pitch and high-speed devices, manage controlled reflow, and implement process controls suited to dense, FPGA-centric designs.

Do you help with embedded systems that mix FPGA logic and embedded software?

Absolutely. We coordinate closely with your embedded software team during bring-up, following your scripts and verification steps to accelerate system integration.

Do you offer JTAG boundary scan testing?

No. We don’t perform boundary scan. We can integrate customer-supplied test steps or coordinate with your test partner.

What certifications and industries do you support?

We’re aligning to AS9100D, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001, serving aerospace, medical, telecom, and industrial automation, among others.
